We’re Ali and Jim White—partners in life and business—passionate about creating memorable getaways for families, couples, and friends. After years of traveling with our own blended family of five twenty-somethings, we saw how powerful a great vacation home can be in bringing people together. That’s why we founded Happi Shacks Vacation Rentals.

 

With a background in real estate, property renovation, and hospitality, we specialize in turning houses into welcoming retreats. Our properties are thoughtfully chosen and designed to be comfortable, stylish, and packed with amenities for fun and relaxation. Whether guests are looking for a peaceful escape, a place to gather, or a home base for adventure, we want each Happi Shacks stay to feel effortless and memorable.

We were a group of four couples staying for three nights to enjoy the fall foliage in Vermont. The house has an excellent location — convenient and close to many scenic spots. Each of the four bedrooms has its own private bathroom, which made our stay very comfortable. The interior is modern, nicely decorated, and well equipped with entertainment options and kitchenware. As mentioned in the listing, parking is on a slope outside the house, and there is no indoor garage. The downsides were that the sound insulation is not great (you can hear footsteps and voices from upstairs at night, especially in the first-floor bedrooms). Overall, it’s a lovely house in a great location, and we had a pleasant stay!

Ali & Jim's place was wonderful. It was immaculate and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was close to Marine Corp Recruit Depot, which is what we needed. It's located on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. Plenty of parking across street, too. Ali & Jim were very responsive. I highly recommend this place! I would definitely stay here again.

Close to Saybrook Point. Easy and convenient to all that Saybrook has to offer. The only negative was that the sheets seemed stale or musty. Could be because we came off season. Otherwise nice stay in a beautiful location.
